Ice Storm 2010

In January 2010, REC was hit with an Ice Storm that knocked out

most all of the distribution system. Many were without power for

several days. Fortunately, several sister Cooperatives, as well as,

Contractors, and Tree Cutting Crews, came to help with the

restoration of our system.

Kevin Harvell with Cookson Hills Electric Coop in Stigler, Oklahoma,

did an excellent job of putting together this video clip to share.

Thanks to Kevin and all of those who came to help us restore our

system.
